About
My name is Alex Gustafson, and I am a young game developer native to central Massachusetts. Currently, I am a member of the Dungeon and Dragons Online Quality Assurance team at Turbine Inc., and loving it. I have helped to launch Update 12, and am currently working on the next updates for the game. DDO is an excellent MMORPG, and I’m helping to keep our bar of quality high. I spent this past summer interning as a Game Designer with Secret Identity in San Mateo, California. A division of Gazillion Entertainment, Secret Identity is working on Marvel Universe, and it was amazing to be a part of the team working on designing and implementing super-hero powers, environments, and enemies.
I am a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electronic Game and Interactive Development, focusing on game design. Throughout my four years at Champlain, I accumulated a great deal of game creation experience and was a part of over 12 development cycles; both student and professionally managed. My educational expertise focuses on small teams, strong communication, and being a versatile and adaptable team member. I also spent a semester studying abroad in Montréal, Québéc, which was a fantastic experience learning from industry professionals at Space and Dream, Behaviour Interactive, and Eidos.
I strive to both express myself and create experiences for others by mastering the craft of game development.
